They organize trips for youth to increase the level of awareness of other young people in the same situation.

As the Palestinian Land Defense Coalition, a network of local committees, farmers, workers, women and youth, we congratulate Syriza and the Greek people for the victory in today's elections.

On January 18th, 2015, Canada's Foreign Minister, John Baird, was the target of a lively protest during his visit to Ramallah, a Palestinian city located 10km away from Jerusalem. The demonstration gathered around two hundred people.

The Israeli occupation continued their crimes and violations of human rights on a daily bases against the Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza.

 

Palestinian organizations thank Rio Grande do Sul for cutting relations with Elbit. 

In response to the landmark decision of the government of Rio Grande do Sul to announce the cancellation of the Memorandum of Understanding with Elbit Systems, Palestinian representatives handed over a letter welcoming the decision and thanking the government and civil society in Rio Grande do Sul.

Occupied Palestine, 03 December 2014 - The Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul has cancelled a major collaboration deal with Israeli military company Elbit Systems in the wake of protests over the firm’s role in oppression of Palestinians.

Brazilian social movements and trade unions and Palestinian groups had called on authorities to cancel the deal over Elbit’s role in the construction of Israel’s illegal apartheid Wall in the occupied West Bank and its close relationship with the Israeli military.

In Jerusalem, the daily confrontations with the Israeli occupation forces continued in the old city, Shu’fat, Mount of Olives, Silwan, Al Isawiya, Beit Hanina, Athouri, Shu’fat refugee camp, Sur Baher and Jabal Al Mukaber,

6 Palestinians have been killed and 900 arrested in Jerusalem since July this year. Only during November, 111 of the people have been arrested in Jerusalem and thousands injured.

The Israeli occupation has escalated its crimes against the Palestinian people and their properties with attacks that range from stealing lands, to ever more brutal racist assaults by settlers and a never ending series of racist legal and administrative actions approved and implemented by the occupation government, especially in Jerusalem. Below is a summary of some of these attacks that have been documented.

Jerusalem:

The Palestinian Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions National Committee (BNC), the broad coalition of Palestinian civil society organisations that works to support the boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) movement, warmly salutes all those organizing events and actions to mark the UN Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.

 

The Israeli policies to ethnically cleanse the Palestinian Bedouin communities from the Jordan Valley and the area east of Jerusalem include the construction of three apartheid-style townships. Once expelled, these communities should be relocated there. However, in the last weeks Palestinian campaigners and Bedouin communities have made great advances to obstruct this plan: They have directly targeted the companies involved in the construction of the two townships currently being developed.

With Israel's policy of arrests escalating, Stop the Wall publishes an account by two witneses of an 'ordinary' court hearing in the extraordinary repressive and racist system of injustice of the Israeli military courts.
