Last Saturday, during an attempt to protect the village of Burin from settler attacks and to support the farmers in the olive harvest season, some 50 settlers backed by the military have attacked activists and villagers.

Sunday October 21, the Israeli 'security' cabinet ratified the decision on a temporary freeze of the demolition of the Palestinian Bedouin community Khan al Ahmar, even if accompanied by further threats. The freeze is result of the popular steadfastness on the ground and ever growing global pressure. Israel's announcement has shown the impact we can have, but this can only be the start.

This morning bulldozers arrived again at Khan al Ahmar to pave the way to more roads to prepare for the demolition of the community. One person has been arrested, five injured.

The river and lake that have since yesterday appeared in Khan al Ahmar are stinking sewage water from the illegal settlements. See photos of the environmental crime and the gross human rights violation and harrassment here.

Since yesterday night, over 500 people are gathered at the village of Khan al Ahmar to support the community in the moment the Israeli deadline for demolition expired. Khan al Ahmar and the Palestinian people in solidarity are counting on international support.

Over 200 people gathered at Khan al Ahmar to let Israeli military know that collective struggle will defend the community from any demolitions Israel is planning. Occupation forces closed the access roads to Khan al Ahmar, nevertheless many went marching on foot to join the protest.

Never losing their sense of irony, even during daily struggle, Palestinian grassroots activists yesterday responded to Israel's leaflets ordering the people of Khan al Ahmar to destroy their own homes by distributing their own leaflets to the soldiers of Beit El military settlement.

Yesterday night, Israeli occupation forces have distributed flyers to the people of Khan al Ahmar demanding they should destroy themselves all the homes and building of the community until latest October 1. Israel’s military even offers ‘helpline’ for the people in Khan al Ahmar.

This morning Israel called in armoured bulldozers to destroy the access road to the Bedouin community. The road is already repaired and people are as determined as before to resist Israel’s ethnic cleansing.

This morning over 200 Israeli soldiers arrived with their weaponry and bulldozers to destroy the new neighbourhood of Khan al Ahmar, called Wadi al Ahmar.

Yesterday night, Palestinian activists have started yet another strategy to resist the erasure of the community of Khan al Ahmar by Israeli occupation forces: Five new structures have been built in the middle of the night just a few hundred meters from the existing structures, as a new ‘neighbourhood’. In order to demolish the structures, new legal procedures have to be started in the courts…

After Israeli courts have decided on the imminent destruction of Khan al Ahmar, the Palestinian Bedouin community located East of Jerusalem, popular resistance is building to defend the community.

After years of resistance and a month of legal battles, as expected the Israeli courts voted in favour of ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian Bedouin community. In exactly one week, Khan al Ahmar is up for destruction. Click below and help us stop the demolition.

On Monday, the Israeli High Court issued a decision to delay the demolition of Khan Al-Ahmar, the Palestinian Bedouin Community East of Jerusalem until July 17.

Palestinian lawyers representing the residents of Khan al-Ahmar village in the West Bank filed a petition last week, claiming that no eviction orders had been given to the residents.

The community of Khan al Ahmar and the popular resistance in Palestine has won a small but significant battle against Israeli ethnic cleansing. The occupation forces have to stop their onslaught until July 11. Your action is crucial now!

Since yesterday, Israeli bulldozers and some 300 Israeli military and intelligence officers have started the full scale onslaught to destroy the Bedouin community of Khan el Ahmar. People are still resisting and need your support!

The struggle for survival of the Bedouin village Khan el Ahmar - a community to be destroyed any time by Israeli bulldozers rolling in - is a national focus point for all that are every day organizing and resisting to stop Israel’s ongoing Nakba, the 70 years long ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians from their homes. To build strength and steadfastness together with the Bedouin community, on Saturday night, activists from across the West Bank came to Khan el Ahmar in solidarity.

Yesterday, Friday 11 January 2013, Palestinian activists sought to protect land under threat from Israeli settlements. Coordinated by the Palestinian Grassroots Anti Apartheid Wall And Settlements Campaign (Stop the Wall) and Popular Committees against the Wall, around 250 activists from all over the West Bank set up a village of 25 protest tents in the E1 Area close to East Jerusalem.
