Palestine in Revolt. News Report 8th October 2015

The daily news reports continue. Below you can find a summary of what went on during last Thursday 8th of October. Our corrispondent present in the Occupied Territories due to an electricity cut and poor internet connection, only managed to update us today. A brief bulletin of the multiple clashes and their consequences can be read below, giving you an idea of how widespread the Palestinian revolt against the Israeli oppressor is becoming.

1.  Two young Palestinian men shot dead by the IOF. Wissam Jamal Faraj from Shufat refugee camp was killed by a fatal bullet on his heart. Another young Palestinian, Thaer Abu Ghazaleh, 19, was shot dead in the north of Jerusalem.

2.  IOF wounded and injured 355 citizens, 29 of them with live ammunition, 98 by rubber bullets, 217 were suffocated by the tear gas and 11 were assaulted.

3.  Raids and mass arrests in the ranks of young Palestinians in various villages: 31 of them were detained.

4.  Four new battalions from the IOF are being sent to the occupied West Bank and over 4,000 Israeli police and Israeli special forces are located in Jerusalem. At the checkpoints and in the main streets the IOF is heavily deployed.

5.  Continuous confrontations with the occupation forces starting from noon and running until the evening in more than 40 different sites and in the center of the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem. During these confrontations with the IOF, Palestinians resist throwing stones and Molotov cocktails.

6.  Daily clashes with settlers in the axes of the main roads and at the entrances of some villages near the illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank and in the occupied East Jerusalem.

Details:

Two young Palestinian men were killed and 355 were wounded with live ammunition and rubber bullets by the Israeli occupation forces today. Cases of suffocation with tear gas during the repression of the occupation forces on the marches, which was launched in various regions of the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, were also reported.

During clashes with the IOF in Shuafat refugee camp in occupied East Jerusalem, a young Palestinian, 20 years, was shot dead with a bullet in his heart. Another young Palestinian was killed today: Thaer Abu Ghazaleh, 19, from Kafr Aqab, north of Jerusalem, was shot dead by an israeli security man for allegedly stabbing an Israeli soldier and three others in Tel Aviv's city center within the 1948 territory.  

Other 355 young Palestinians were wounded, 29 of them with live ammunition distributed as follows: 13 in Ramallah, 10 in Tulkarem, 4 in Jerusalem, 2 in Hebron. 98 were injured with rubber bullets and 217 suffered suffocation from tear gas. 11 were assaulted in various areas of the occupied West Bank: 5 citizens of Nablus and 6 citizens of Pharaoh village south of Tulkarm while picking olives behind the wall.

The IOF launched a campaign of massive arrests involving more than 31 detainees, where 20 from them were from the Hebron district alone.

Other arrests happened in different areas of the occupied West Bank, including Hebron, Kharsa village south of Hebron, Halhul north of Hebron, in the town of Dura, in Shuafat refugee camp north-east of Jerusalem, Tekoa east of Bethlehem and in several neighborhoods of Jerusalem. In occupied Jerusalem, the occupation forces arrested a Palestinian boy alleging that he sprayed tear gas inside a settler’s house.

Confrontations between Palestinian youths and Israeli occupation forces continued along the day in a number of areas in the occupied West Bank and in Palestine 48, where Palestinians throw stones and Molotov cocktails against the IOF and the Apartheid Wall.

Clashes broke out near the Apartheid Wall in the village of Budrus, west of Ramallah, with the IOF throwing tear gas canisters at the demonstrators. The Elementary School Padres was near the area where the clashes were taking place, so that resulted in many cases of suffocation among the students, where 13 young Palestinians were injured with live ammunition and dozens of them injured with rubber bullets.

In the Beit El area, three journalists were injured during violent clashes between dozens of Palestinian youths, lots of them from Birzeit University, and the IOF.

In Hebron, a student march was organized and was heading towards the bridge of Halhul, north of Hebron: the IOF attacked them in the middle of the march, leaving dozens of Palestinians injured. Another march set off from Hebron University and was launched towards the northern entrance of the city where they were fiercely suppressed with tear gas by the occupation forces, leaving tens of cases of suffocation injuries.

Separately, a young Palestinian boy was wounded in his leg with a live bullet and dozens of other Palestinians were injured with rubber bullets and were suffocated with gas during clashes in Al-Aroub refugee camp, north of Hebron.

Violent clashes between young Palestinians and the occupation army also took place in the south of Hebron, as well as in the town of Beit Ummar. Ten young Palestinian men were injured with live ammunition and dozens were injured with rubber bullets as well as suffocated by the tear gas due to clashes between Palestinians and the occupation forces near the University of West Khadouri in Tulkarem.

Clashes also took place in the southern entrance of Jerico, where dozens of Palestinians were injured by rubber bullets and were suffocated with tear gas by the IOF. Confrontations between Palestinian youths and the Israeli occupation forces also happened in the town of Tekoa, east of Bethlehem, where a number of young Palestinian men were left injured by rubber bullets and suffocated with tear gas.

A few settlers were injured when some young Palestinians threw stones at an israeli bus while it was passing on the north area of Jerusalem. Palestinian youths stabbed israeli settlers and citizens in four different episodes: in Jerusalem, in Hebron, in Tel Aviv and in Afula. According to the Israeli police, the Palestinian boy from Shuafat refugee camp stabbed a settler in the Old City of Jerusalem. In Tel Aviv, Thaer Abu Ghazaleh, was shot dead for allegedly stabbing four Israeli settlers, including a female soldier.

Clashes continued between the Palestinian youths and Israeli occupation forces in several areas until the evening, including: Tulkarm, Ramallah, Nablus, Qalqilya, Shu'fat, Nazareth, Hebron, Beit El, Jerusalem, Qalandia, Bethlehem, Yatta, Alaasrih, Salfit, Al-berh, Jenin, Tur, Beit Ummar, Tekoa, Ras Al-Jura, Sheikh neighborhood and Kafr.
