The first day of the high-level General Debate of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 76) kicks off today. It comes amidst an intensified Israeli ethnic cleansing campaign of Palestinians in Jerusalem and other parts of Palestine.

To bring to light the urgency of taking concrete steps by the United Nations to hold Israel accountable for its crimes, mainly by investigating its apartheid regime, we have released a short film that highlights Israeli apartheid practices in Jerusalem to ethnically cleanse Palestinians.

A major theme in the General Debate, which will continue to take place until September 27, 2021 is ‘building resilience through hope’ as well as revitalizing the United Nations. There will be no hope of a more resilient and just world as long as member states in the UN like Israel continue to be a threat to the entire framework of human rights by imposing a decades-long system of apartheid on millions of Palestinians.

To revitalize the UN and take hope from it, the UNGA 76 must be a space in which world governments act to investigate and dismantle Israeli apartheid regime.

To do justice to our long-standing struggle for self-determination, join in the BDS call on the UN General Assembly to investigate apartheid Israel:

  • Sign the BDS E-Action and send an email to the President of the UNGA and Secretary General of the UN demanding #UNInvestigateApartheid.
  • Share the E-Action on social media and flood the platform with the hashtags of #UNInvestigateApartheid, #UNGA76 and tag @UN.
