Dozens were suffocated and cased serve vomiting in the weekly protest in Bilin due to the suppression by the occupation forces who shot the protesters with tear gas bombs and metal bullets covered with rubber. They also sprayed them with sewage water mixed with chemicals.

The popular committee called to expand the popular resistance to open the checkpoints, open closed streets, and tear down the Apartheid Wall and settlements. It also highlighted the importance of Palestinian unity to end the occupation.

The so-called “district committee” in the municipality of occupation, will discuss today a plan to build 204 settler units in the “al Tallah al Faransiya” area, east of the Holy City.
This comes within the context of the settlement plan scheme in the occupied city of Jerusalem, which aims to isolate Palestinian citizens and to prevent a natural expansion to continue into judaized Jerusalem.

The occupation forces demolished this morning housing and agriculture facilities in the Jordan Valley area east of the West Bank after dozens of demolition campaigns in the same area last year. The population of the bats of Alhamra area said that the military bulldozers surrounded one of the bats and started demolishing four barracks and a family housing.

The occupation forces issued seven demolishing orders to demolish seven houses in Kherbet Alkher in Hebron after attacking the houses, giving the orders to the Palestinian families. Kherbet Alkher is located near “Karmael” settlement, which is built on Palestinian land. The seven houses host sixty people.
The houses are related to Muhammad Khalil, Ikhlas Ali, Adel Salman, Bilal Salman, Khairi Salman, Maliha Hamad and Salman Eid, all of them from Arab Alhathaleen. 

The occupation forces issued notices to take over about 1161 acres of land in the northwest villages of Jerusalem under the pretext of “military purposes“ as atated in the seizure orders.

Gathered at the Escola Nacional Florestan Fernandes for the First National Encounter on Palestine, the Palestinian National Committee and the Brazilian National preparatory committee we launched the WSF Free Palestine, to be held in November 2012 in Porto Alegre (Brazil).

This call follows the decision of the International Council of the WSF in May to support the project of a WSF on Palestine as well as extensive consultation in Brazil including the federal and national governments as well as the commitment to the event of the Coordination of the Social Movements in Brazil.

The occupation forces issued notices to seize land in Masha and Alzawyah villages in Salfit district in order to build the Apartheid Wall in that area, including a resolution to establish a new barrier in the “seam zone.” The targeted land is more than 50 acres spread over five locations in the two towns. The issued notices had no dates, which will prevent the land owners from objecting to the decisions of seizure.

Nabi Saleh

Fighting against the ongoing suppression that the occupation practices against the weekly protests against the apartheid wall and settlements in the West Bank, Walid Barghouthi, a young man, was shot with a live bullet to his leg while participating in Al Nabi Saleh weekly protest, which heralded a large amount of blood before he was transferred to hospital for treatment.
Witnesses said that Israeli soldiers fired three live bullets towards him in order to assassinate him just as they did with Mustafa Tamimi two weeks ago.

Stop the Wall has sent an urgent complaint to UN Special Rapporteurs and diplomatic missions urging them to further investigate the Israeli repression of human rights defenders and to make 2012 the year in which they finally hold Israel accountable for these and other crimes. There is a clear pattern of escalation of Israeli repression developing and we call the international community to urgently take effective measures.

 

The occupation forces washed away a number of water wells, throne room and agricultural land in the area known as “Thahr al Suboh” in Kufur al Deik village in Salfit. The occupation has done this several times before within the same area, which is an agricultural relief operation project funded by the Dutch government.
A group of settlers also uprooted 30 olive trees belong to Osama Alsamamra and wrote hostile slogans to the Arabs, in al-Samou’ village in the Hebron district.

“Despite killings, arrests and repression, we will continue”
In the series of repression practiced by the occupation forces on the popular weekly demonstrations against the apartheid wall and settlements, occupation forces arrested and wounded dozens during the weekly demonstrations in the West Bank.
In Bilin, the occupation forces faced the protesters with sound and tear gas bombs and shot metal bullets covered with rubber, which caused dozens of suffocation cases and injured 20-year-old photojournalist Iyas Abo Rahme.

Ramallah, 19 December 2011 – On 18 December, 550 Palestinian prisoners were released in completion of the second phase of the prisoner exchange deal concluded by the Israeli government and Hamas authorities on 11 October. In contrast to the first phase of the prisoner releases, which saw 477 mutually agreed upon prisoners released on 18 October in exchange for captured Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit, Israeli authorities selected the names of the 550 prisoners released in this phase.

Nabi Saleh, West Bank – Palestinian activist Mustafa Tamimi, 28, died this morning of wounds sustained after the Israeli occupation forces shot him in the face on Friday at the weekly popular protest in Nabi Saleh. Tamimi was shot from less than 10-meters distance with a high velocity tear gas grenade that made him unconscious and bleeding profusely. He was then taken to hospital where he remained in life support until this morning. The Israeli occupation forces prevented his family from accompanying him.

 

The second anniversary of the start the popular resistance by the people of Nabi Saleh was marked by the brutal injury of young Mustafa Abdul-Razzaq al-Tamimi, 27, who was shot in the face at less than 10 meters. This occurred while the UN Special Rapporteur for the Freedom of Opinion and Expression was visiting the village. Al-Tamimi was seriously wounded in the head by a tear gas canister fired by the soldiers directly at him from a close distance. From the impact of the gas bomb, his face was split, losing a large amount of blood before being transferred by car to the hospital.

Coinciding with the international day of solidarity with the Palestinian people, the weekly protests against the apartheid wall and settlements was suppressed by the occupation forces, who shot protesters with live bullets and metal bullets covered with rubber. The loud shooting, sound bombs, and tear gas bombs caused injuries to protesters and dozens of suffocation cases. Two journalists were arrested and three international human rights defenders.

Days after STW has called upon supporters to write to their diplomatic misions, on November 23 diplomats from 7 European representative offices have visited al Hadidiye. They have seen the precarious living conditions now threatened by demolition orders affecting 72 people. They have heard testimonies from al Hadidiye and received a background briefing on the Israeli policies of ethnic cleansing of the Jordan Valley. (See below.)

 

 

(Quito, Ecuador) Many in Ecuador have also been moved to show solidarity with the Palestinians and their struggle, especially during this occasion of the international week against the wall.

Dozens of suffocation cases were the result of the heavy use of tear gas bombs. While some protesters were injured after severe beatings by the occupation forces who used batons and rifle butts.

This violation and repression is practiced weekly by the occupation forces against the popular protests against the apartheid wall and settlement around the west bank. This week coincided with the 23rd anniversary of independence and the seventh anniversary of the death of Yasser Arafat.
